Message from the President


The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association was formed in 2001 and has 75 members, including practitioners from all regions of the State. The Chapter serves as a chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), the premier bar association serving the federal practitioner and judiciary. The Chapter was created to continue the FBA mission, to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and the needs of the federal practitioner, both public and private, the federal judiciary and the public they serve.

Passing of Senior District Judge James A. von der Heydt

The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Judge James von der Heydt.


Alaska Chapter Adds New Members

With the addition of eight new members since the end of 2012, the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) has grown substantially. Five of the new members are also newly admitted attorneys to the Alaska Bar.
