Hello from the “Great Land!” I am a life-long Alaskan, born and raised in Anchorage. After obtaining my J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1983, I joined a local Anchorage firm and practiced civil law until the early 1990s. I then went to work for the Office of Public Advocacy, defending serious felony criminal cases throughout Alaska. The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Judge James von der Heydt.
With the addition of eight new members since the end of 2012, the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) has grown substantially. Five of the new members are also newly admitted attorneys to the Alaska Bar.
