Earl W. Kintner Award for Distinguished Service

  • Presented as a lifetime contribution award to an FBA member who has displayed long-term outstanding achievement, distinguished leadership, and participation in the activities of the association’s chapters, sections, and divisions throughout the nation over a career of service.

Hon. Sarah T. Hughes Civil Rights Award

  • Honors an individual who promotes the advancement of civil and human rights through sustained and dedicated work in the area of civil rights, due process, and equal protection.

Peter J. Mazza Outstanding Federal Lawyer Award

  • Recognizes exemplary federal lawyers who have dedicated a significant portion of their career to federal service with high standards of professional achievement and outstanding performance.

Ilene and Michael Shaw Public Service Award

  • Designed to assist and encourage members in providing service to their communities by granting needed funds to continue such worthwhile efforts and to plan and implement public service programs.

Ilene and Michael Shaw FBA Younger Lawyer Public Service Grant

  • Enables chapters to provide service to the public through the development and implementation of public service projects and pro bono law related services administered under the auspices of a chapter Younger Lawyer Committee.

Elaine R. “Boots” Fisher Award

  • Recognizes exemplary community, public, and charitable service by FBA members.

The Robyn J. Spalter Outstanding Achievement Award

  • Recognizes a member of the FBA who joined as a “younger attorney” for their meaningful legal, community, public and/or charitable service.

Younger Federal Lawyer Awards

  • Recognizes younger federal lawyers who attain high standards of professional achievement and accords public recognition for outstanding performance.

Chapter Activity Awards

  • Recognizes the diligent work and accomplishments that outstanding FBA chapters have made throughout the year.

Newsletter Recognition Awards

  • Recognizes the best newsletters published by chapters, sections, divisions, and committees in an effort to stimulate and encourage continued production of these valuable communication tools.

Section/Division Recognition Awards

  • Recognizes the hard work and the many achievements that our FBA sections and divisions have accomplished throughout the year in programming, communications, and membership.

Chapter Community Outreach Award

  • Recognizes chapters making a positive impact in their community through outreach programs which strengthen the federal legal system and demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and community service.
