Spotlight on a ILS Member and ILS Law Student Liaison Representative

Nicole Lawler is a second year law student at the University of Virginia School of Law. Nicole grew up in Orefield, Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude from King's College (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, political science, theology, and economics. During her undergraduate studies Nicole studied abroad in India and Ecuador and was the president of her class. This past summer Nicole interned at the South Asia Human Rights Documentation Centre in New Delhi, India for ten weeks. Previously, Nicole also interned at the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project and the Defender Association of Philadelphia. Nicole currently serves as the president of the J.B. Moore Society of International Law at the University of Virginia and is on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
