The Antitrust Lawyer Third Edition Introduction

Welcome to the third edition of The Antitrust Lawyer. I hope you all have enjoyed your summer thus far.

For this edition, we have received two excellent articles covering antitrust case law. Dan Mogin and Jody Williams of The Mogin Law Firm, P.C. provide a thoughtful analysis of the Second Circuit’s LIBOR decision. Thomas Doyle of Wexler Wallace LLP, reviews the Supreme Court’s high-profile decision in Tyson Foods, with a particular emphasis of the second section of the opinion addressing the impact of uninjured class members.

I sincerely hope you will consider being a part of the next Antitrust Lawyer publication. With hundreds of members in the section, publishing in the newsletter is a great way to get your name and ideas to antitrust and trade regulation practitioners across the country. Our section is scheduled to publish two to three times a year.

Unfortunately, this will be the last issue of The Antitrust Lawyer where I am the editor. I will continue in the FBA Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section as the Treasurer. Starting in September 2016, Kyle Smith of Boies, Schiller and Flexner LLP will take the reigns as the Newsletter Coordinator. If you would like to submit an article for the next edition, please email him at ksmith@bsfllp.com.

Best regards,
Josh Rissman
