Lieberman graduated from City College of New York and received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and California and is a member of each of their bar associations. Lieberman has twice been recognized as one of the best lawyers in America in the field of commercial litigation in Best Lawyers In America, and as a Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation by New England Super Lawyers. He is a past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of the FBA, is a past member of the Government Relations Committee and is currently a vice president for the First Circuit. He also is a member of the Rhode Island State and Federal Court Bench/Bar Committees, and he formed and chaired the American Bar Association Committee on Railroad Law (now called Commercial Transportation Litigation). Lieberman’s articles appear in many publications, including the ABA Brief, the Rhode Island Law Weekly, the Rhode Island Bar Journal, the Pennsylvania Law Journal-Reporter, the Trial Practice Newsletter, the Voice, the IADC’s Seminar Brochure, Advanced Litigation Strategy Forum, and the DRI’s Trials and Tribulations. Lieberman is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the Defense Counsel of Rhode Island, and the American Inns of Court, Rhode Island Chapter.
