
Tara is a litigator focusing on patents, trademarks, trade secrets and unfair competition. She represents a wide variety of clients, including medical device companies, hedge funds and manufacturers of consumer goods. Tara also works in the areas of white collar and corporate crimes.
Minnesota Law & Politics magazine has named Tara a "Rising Star" every year from 2005 through 2010. She is actively involved in the Federal Bar Association, serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Minnesota Chapter and chairing the Markman Study Group, a joint project of the district court and the FBA.
Prior to joining CCVL Tara clerked for the Honorable Donald P. Lay on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and was an attorney with Sidley Austin in Chicago. Before she became an attorney, Tara worked in advertising and media relations for corporate and political clients.
