Daniel C. Hedlund has been a Federal Bar Association member since 1998 and is in his 5th year of serving as a Vice President for the Eighth Circuit. Dan has been active in the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, serving in numerous officer and director capacities with the Chapter. In addition, he is a past Chair of the Antitrust Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and a past Secretary for the Consumer Litigation Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He is also a past President of the Committee to Support Antitrust Laws (COSAL).

Dan has presented numerous continuing legal education seminars on various topics. In addition to presenting at CLE’s, he has testified before the Federal Rules Committee regarding proposed changes to the discovery rules and before the Minnesota Legislature on competition law on behalf of the American Antitrust Institute. He is a co-author of the “Plaintiff Overview” in Private Antitrust Litigation 2015 – Getting the Deal Through and a contributor to Concurrent Antitrust Criminal and Civil Procedures 2013 – American Bar Association.

Dan has practiced in the areas of antitrust, securities fraud, and consumer protection since 1997. He is a member of Gustafson Gluek PLLC located in Minneapolis. He is a graduate of Carleton College (B.A. 1989) and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. 1995). He was a note and comment editor and member of the Minnesota Journal of Global Trade from 1993-1995 and a recipient of the Federal Bar Association’s John T. Stewart, Jr. Memorial Fund Writing Award (1994). He served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals and for the Minnesota State District Court.
