Chapter Email Blast Tips

GMAIL
Chapters can set up chapter email accounts through Gmail and use the monthly Membership Reports distributed by National for a current list of their members and contact information. Once an email account has been set up, you can copy and paste the members emails from the spreadsheet into the BCC section of the outgoing email.

Below are a few tipes to avoid having the emails sent to spam:

  • - Select a username which isn't obscure and with no numbers if possible (for example, the South Florida Chapter uses federalbar.southflorida@gmail.com)
  • - Standard/simple subject lines without random characters or all caps similar to what the FBA uses when sending out Chapter e-blasts, e.g. FBA DC  Monthly Luncheon (Mar. 31)
  • - Don't use too many images try to keep the email as text-based as possible
  • - Include a message at the bottom asking your members to add your email address to their address books
