Fellows of the Foundation

The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association established the Fellows program in 2002 to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and leadership within both the FBA and the legal community. There are currently 242 Fellows of the Foundation.

Responsibilities and Benefits

Each Fellow commits to support the Foundation of the FBA through a personal pledge of at least $1,500, which can be paid to the Foundation over three years. Fellows also sponsor and contribute items to an annual silent auction, which also supports the work of the Foundation.

Fellows receive exclusive invitations to a Fellows Dinner (usually held in Washington, DC each March).

Eligibility and Nominations

Fellows must be FBA members in good standing and have been a member of the FBA for at least five years. Nominations are accepted throughout the year, and the new class of Fellows is inducted during a ceremony held each September during the FBA’s Annual Meeting and Convention. If you are interested in joining the Fellows, please complete the self-nomination form and submit the completed form to foundation@fedbar.org. Current Fellows interested in nominating a colleague should contact the Foundation at foundation@fedbar.org.
