The Top 10 Mistakes Litigators Make in Arbitration from an Arbitrator’s Perspective
Serena K. Lee
Hon. Myra Selby

Arbitration is, when optimized by experienced counsel, an expeditious and efficient alternative to the formal process of litigation, which parties must also accommodate the vagaries of our overburdened court system. However, counsel often miss opportunities available in arbitration to provide a more speedy and effective resolution to their clients’ disputes because they are either importing litigation practices into arbitration or simply are unfamiliar with how to best utilize the party-driven arbitral process. Join Serena Lee, Vice President with the American Arbitration Association and Lisa Brown as they provide practical tips on how to avoid common mistakes and take advantage of opportunities to deliver the faster, more cost-effective dispute resolution process that arbitration can provide if properly managed by counsel in collaboration with their arbitrator(s).
