Program Instructions for CLE Attendance
For ALL STATES - attendees must complete and return a CLE Attendance Verification Form.
When you arrive at the conference and pick up your registration you can also pick-up the CLE Attendance Verification Form from the staff that you will use through-out the conference.
Before you leave the conference, remember to go back to the registration table and drop off your CLE Attendance Verification Form . Once you have given the FBA staff this important form with all your information complete on it, the staff will be able to give you your state specific certificate of attendance. If you have any questions during the conference, a staff person from the Federal Bar Association will be at the registration table and will be happy to assist you.
The certificate of attendance is for your records and does not need to be returned to the Federal Bar Association. The CLE Attendance Verification Form that you return is the FBA’s record of attendance, so please be sure to complete all of the information requested! It is imperative that the FBA know your Bar Number and State along with the number of hours of cle you completed to properly record your time and send it to your state for credit.
CLE by State (Subject to change)
Each state has its own rules for submitting CLE attendance. Some states require the Federal Bar Association to submit attendance on your behalf, while other states prefer the attendees to submit on their own. All states require that you sign in and sign out whenever you arrive and depart for the day. and that is why the FBA utilizes the CLE Attendance Verification Form.
The following states require that the FBA send in your attendance within 30 days of the conference using your state bar number or state ID number, so please make sure you provide that on your attendance sheet and print your name clearly.
For the following states, the FBA keeps the attendance forms for three years in case your state contacts us to verify your attendance for a certain conference. To verify your attendance, the FBA must have your state bar number or state ID number, so please make sure you provide this number on your attendance sheet and print your name clearly. You are responsible for submitting your own credits in the following states.
