Message
from the Chair
Welcome to the Web page of the Environment,
Energy, and Natural Resources Law Section of the Federal Bar Association.
The section hopes, through this Web page, to keep our members, and potential
members, informed of the activities of the section. If anyone has any
suggestions for improvements to this page or other comments, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
I am pleased to report that the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources
Law Section is fiscally sound, and its membership is among the highest
in the FBA. The governing board has worked hard over the past couple of
years to increase the service provided to its membership including providing
quality CLE programs at low cost, an agency counsel speaker series, and,
more recently, a full day program in Washington, D.C. on environmental
conflict resolution with the ADR Section. For FY 2005-2006, our plan is
to increase the communication with our membership by regular publication
of the sections award winning newsletter, Pursuits. We
will also be actively exploring partnering with local chapters and other
sections to present quality labor and employment law CLE programs.
I encourage all environment, energy, and natural resource law practitioners
to become active members of our section, and hope that any member with
an interest in section leadership either service on a standing
or special committee or in helping with section activities will
contact one of the officers listed on this Web page. The section will
continue to diligently work to improve the section, its programs, and
its services. I welcome all of your suggestions, comments, and of course,
look forward to your help.
