Summer Law Clerk Program

Summer Law Clerk Program

Exclusively sponsored by Army JAG

The Younger Lawyers Division is once again excited to sponsor the Summer Law Clerk Program, which is exclusively sponsored by the U.S. Army JAG. Throughout June and July, legal interns will have the extraordinary opportunity to visit up to eight federal agencies to meet agency counsel. They will also be invited to participate in panel discussions hosted by various federal agencies and practitioners. The panel discussions will allow interns to ask questions directly to legal counsel about career development, agency missions and operations, and employment opportunities. This year’s Program includes panels on legal careers with The Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, and Capitol Hill, as well as legal careers in the fields of tax and transportation law. There are over [insert number] law student interns participating in this year’s Program, which began with an event at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. At the kickoff event, students received advice and remarks from the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims, an attorney for the Department of Justice, and a Deputy Chief for the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. This year’s Program will also provide participants with an opportunity to network with Federal Bar Association members and to learn more about the many benefits of being an FBA member.
