Summer Law Clerk Program

Summer Law Clerk Program

Exclusively sponsored by Army JAG

This summer, over 250 legal interns in the Washington, D.C. area participated in the Younger Lawyer Division's annual Summer Law Clerk Program, designed to expose law students to an array of career opportunities in the federal government. Throughout June, July and August, interns from 19 unique agencies had the chance to attend 11 site-visits at federal agencies, and enjoyed 7 roundtable panels, featuring experts in federal law ranging from the Department of Transportation to the Department of Justice. While law students enjoyed the opportunity to network with experienced government lawyers and judges, panelists and agency hosts relished the opportunity to explain the significance of their work to many eager law students. The program's undeniable success could not have been accomplished without the support of the program co-directors, Jessica Toplin and Joey Bowers, and Army JAG, the exclusive sponsor of this year's events.
