Important Reminders for Students

   

  • Please join us for a Team Lunch, sponsored by the U.S Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps on Thursday, March 22 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. ET at the law firm of Latham and Watkins.  RSVP to Anthony Jones at ajones@fedbar.org by March 9, 2018.
  • Preliminary Rounds of competition: Teams must arrive promptly to the H. Carl Moultrie I Courthouse by 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 (please allow extra time to go through security). After going through security, please make your way to the 3rd floor to check-in.
  • Do NOT identify your school name at any time during the competition.
  • Immediately following the Preliminary Rounds of competition on Thursday, March 22, all team members and coaches must leave the courthouse. Results will be tallied following the competition and then emailed and sent via text to coaches or the main point of contact for each team.
  • If you are no longer able to participate or you are running late for any portion of the competition, please contact Anthony Jones at (703) 789-7434.

The Courthouse is accessible via the Metrorail Red Line Judiciary Square Station (once in the station, take the exit marked "D.C. Courthouses" for the Moultrie Courthouse and Court Building C, and the exit marked "Building Museum" for the Historic Courthouse and Court Buildings A and B). In addition, the Archives/Navy Memorial Station on the Yellow and Green Line and the Gallery Place/Chinatown station on the Yellow Line, Green Line and Red Line Lines are within walking distance.

The U.S. Court of Federal Claims is located on Madison Place between Pennsylvania Avenue and H Street, NW, on the east side of Lafayette Square across from the White House, in downtown Washington, D.C. The Blue Line, Orange Line, and Silver Line stop at the Metrorail McPherson Square Station. Follow the exit signs toward the White House. At street level, go left at the top of the escalators to Vermont Avenue and turn right, in the direction of H Street. Cross H Street, where Vermont Avenue becomes Madison Place. The National Courts Building's main entrance is mid-block on Madison Place on the left side of the street.

The courthouse is accessible via the Metrorail Red Line Judiciary Square Station. Exit the Police Memorial side. At the top of the escalator, turn around 180 degrees and walk through the Memorial to E Street. The Courthouse is directly across the street on the north corner of E Street.
