Message from the President

The Southern District of Texas Chapter of the Federal Bar Association is dedicated to serving the needs of both the bar and bench in the Southern District of Texas. Established in 1959, the Southern District of Texas Chapter is the largest Federal Bar Chapter in geographic size, spanning the entire Southern District of Texas and encompassing all seven of its divisions.

2017 Blask Fellowship Grant

Grants of at least $2,500 are available for a limited number of law students who serve as legal interns for a minimum of six weeks during the summer of 2017 in the offices of a federal court or agency located within the Southern District of Texas. Apply by April 14, 2017!

New Pro Bono Program

The Federal Bar Association’s Pro Bono Program matches attorneys with clients seeking pro bono representation in pro se matters that have survived summary judgment.
