The 9th Annual Kozyak Minority Mentoring Picnic

The 9th Annual Kozyak Minority Mentoring Picnic

The 9th Annual Kozyak Minority Mentoring Picnic was held at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah, Florida on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The picnic, which is attended by many judges, established lawyers, and law students from every law school in Florida, provides an opportunity for students to meet lawyers, judges, and potential employers in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The picnic also seeks to provide an opportunity for law students to establish relationships and find a mentor among the many lawyers and judges attending the event.

The South Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association was again one of the event’s sponsors and hosted an informational table at the picnic. Throughout the picnic, the Federal Bar Association table was staffed by Chapter members, including Bernie Pastor, Chapter President, Ani Martinez, President-Elect, Candace Duff, Willy Fernandez, Alaina Fotiu-Wojtowicz, Martin Jensen (FIU law student), Russ Koonin, Andrew Kruppa, and Robert Watson, and was visited by numerous law students and lawyers.
