Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Corporate and Association Counsel's Division ("CACD") Web page. The CACD membership consists of present and former lawyers practicing with corporations or associations.

Having spent 23 years as a member of corporate law departments, I believe one of the advantages of belonging to an organization, such as the Federal Bar Association and the CACD is the opportunity to network with other corporate and association in-house lawyers to discuss legal issues affecting corporations and associations to determine how other corporations and associations addressed such issues.

The CACD is in the process of reinstituting a newsletter for CACD members. The CACD newsletter, which won two awards as the best section/division newsletter, will be sponsored by a law firm which will be responsible for writing articles of interest to in-house lawyers. We are hopeful of distributing our next newsletter by December 2004.

If you have any questions regarding the CACD or wish to become an officer of the CACD, please contact me at (202) 289-0500 or by e-mail at dschryver@condonlaw.com. We believe you will find the activities of the CACD to be helpful and beneficial to your law practice.

Best regards,
Dave Schryver
